The short version: our apps collect no personal information. Vitamin Village runs entirely on your device, has no accounts, contacts no server, and shows no advertising. This website uses a cookie-free visitor counter that stores no personal data. We never sell data because we never have any.

Vitamin Village is an educational game for children. It is designed so that no personal information is ever collected, transmitted, or stored by us.
The app has no user accounts and asks for no names, ages, email addresses, or photos. It does not access the camera, microphone, contacts, location, or any other device feature beyond what is needed to display the game. It contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, no links to outside websites, and no third-party analytics or tracking software of any kind.
The only data the app keeps is the player's own badge progress (which buddy pairs have been discovered). This is saved in the app's private storage on the device so that progress survives closing the app. It never leaves the device, it is not associated with any person, and deleting the app removes it.
Because we collect nothing, we have nothing to share with third parties, nothing to retain, and nothing to delete on request. This is deliberate: it is the simplest way to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and comparable laws elsewhere, and it is how we intend to keep the app.
johnhubert.llc is a static site hosted by GitHub Pages. To understand how many people visit and roughly where they are from, the site uses GoatCounter, a privacy-respecting visitor counter. It uses no cookies, records no IP addresses, and does not identify individual visitors; it stores the page visited, the referring site, the browser type, and an approximate region derived from the network at the moment of the visit. We also count how many visitors click through to open Vitamin Village. This counter runs only on the website's own pages, never inside the app.
Our hosting provider, GitHub, may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security purposes under GitHub's privacy statement. We do not access or use those logs.
Any future application we publish will be covered by this policy. If an app ever needs to collect information to function (for example, an account for a collaboration tool), we will say exactly what is collected, why, and how to delete it, in this policy and inside the app, before that version is released.
Vitamin Village is intended for children aged roughly 7 to 9 with a grown-up's involvement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through any channel, contact us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date. Changes that reduce privacy will be announced inside any affected app before they take effect.
